BATON ROUGE, La. — The Senate said “no” to gambling during two-day excursions on a Mississippi River cruise ship based in New Orleans. Sen. Joel Chaisson, a Democrat from Destrehan, stressed that gambling would not be the star attraction on the American Queen cruises.
